WISCONSIN - Garden Fresh Foods, a Milwaukee establishment, has recalled about 20,000 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken and ham products, owing to a possibility of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria, according to a US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announcement.

These products were distributed nationwide, so the American people should be on alert. A list of all products at risk of contamination can be found on the website of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

So far no illnesses have been reported because of these foods.

Pregnant women and people who have weakened immune system should be even more careful.

Additional questions can be answered by contacting the company at (800) 645-3367 or the FISIS virtual representative at AskKaren.gov.
